Job Overview: DXC is looking for an experienced SAP BTP Cloud ABAP Developer to design, develop, and maintain cloud applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The candidate should have expertise in ABAP programming within SAP BTP, focusing on clean core principles and side-by-side extensibility. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is required to deliver solutions that enhance business processes and drive digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
Application Development: Design, develop, and implement SAP BTP applications using Cloud ABAP and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
Solution Design: Collaborate with functional and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable SAP BTP solutions.
Integration & Extensibility: Develop side-by-side extensions and integrate SAP BTP solutions with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP cloud services to support business process innovation.
Clean Core Practices: Advocate for and implement SAP Clean Core principles, minimizing custom code within the core system and enabling agility through BTP.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance for all developed solutions, ensuring high standards of performance and security.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, configurations, and customizations.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with SAP BTP advancements, particularly within ABAP, RAP, and the latest in SAP Fiori development, to ensure best practices and forward-compatible solutions.
Other programming languages: JavaScript is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in SAP Cloud ABAP, RAP, and SAP Fiori Elements.
Strong understanding of SAP BTP services, especially integration and extension capabilities.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and related cloud services (e.g., SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite).
Familiarity with clean core concepts and side-by-side extensibility.
Knowledge of security best practices for SAP cloud applications.
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Other Qualifications:
SAP certification in Cloud ABAP or SAP BTP.
Knowledge of DevOps practices in SAP BTP, such as CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with other programming languages or SAP development tools.
Work Environment:
It is expected, at this time, you may be required as part of the job function to travel up to 50%.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $100,500 - $186,700.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
